User Support Software: User supported software is not free of charge. It
is dependant on your honesty. If you use this
software, please send $10.00 to the above address.
We will send you registered copies, and keep you
informed of updated versions.
RENDIR: This program enables you to rename DOS directories. I still haven't
figured out why Microsoft hasn't done it. Very fast. It also allows
you to make an existing directory hidden, so it does not show up
on directory listings. Keeps unwanted people out of them. For
help type RENDIR ? at the Dos prompt. This is the Alpha Version
and it is only a test version. Pierce Consulting disclaims all
responisibility for side effects. There are none we know of.
We suggest you Backup Regularly.
Atrib: Just like DOS's 5.0 attrib with a few execeptions.
1. DOS's attrib before 5.0 allowed no hidden attribute
manipulation.
2. This one works on all versions.
3. This version lists files changed or not as it works.
4. Does not show the pretty table like DOS's.
5. I know it is spelled wrong. Don't want to use same name
as DOS's version, so you can use whichever you please.
6. Copy it into your dos directory.
7. Use +/- h to manipulate hidden attributes.
Spy: This program uses 3 files:
1. Spy.exe
2. wina16.386
3. check.bat
Make sure that all of these files are present in your root
directory. Add spy.exe to Autoexec.bat. Each time your
computer is booted, the time and date of boot is added to
the wina16.386 file. To read the file, type check. Next time
someone says they didn't touch your computer while you were
away, you can prove different. BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!
Each time you check, the file is cleaned out. Otherwise it'll
keep on growing, and doesn't make any screen display, so noone
knows it's there, as long as the echo is off in your autoexec.bat.
